No. The UAE does not levy personal income tax on salaries or wages for individuals, regardless of nationality or residency status. This applies to all emirates including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and others. Your gross salary equals your take-home pay with no income tax deduction.
GPSSA (General Pension and Social Security Authority) contributions apply only to UAE nationals, not to expatriate employees. UAE national employees contribute 5% of their salary, while their employer contributes 12.5%. Expats (the majority of the UAE workforce) have no such mandatory deduction.
Generally no mandatory payroll deductions exist for expatriate employees in the UAE. Some employers may offer voluntary savings plans or end-of-service benefit schemes, but these are not tax deductions. Your net salary equals your gross salary as an expat in the UAE.

End-of-service gratuity (EOSB) is a lump-sum payment due when you leave your employer after completing at least one year of service. It's calculated as 21 calendar days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years, and 30 days per year thereafter. This is not a monthly deduction — it's paid upon termination.
The UAE introduced 5% VAT in 2018, which affects the cost of goods and services. However, VAT is not deducted from your salary — it's a consumption tax paid when you spend money, not a payroll deduction. Your salary is paid in full (gross = net for expats).
